Volunteers, The 5th Quarter, The Big Game, and the Grand Opening!

Just a quick update of what has been happening at Common Ground over the last couple weeks…..

We’ve had some very encouraging and well attended volunteer information meetings. God is forming a team to serve!

It was such a blessing to see Common Ground in action through our first two ministry events this past weekend. On Friday, about 50 high schoolers came to a “5th Quarter” outreach after the basketball game.  The kids enjoyed some fun and fellowship as well as a powerful message from Cole Espenschied (the area director of FCA).

Then on Sunday, around 80 people came out to celebrate the big game with us.  We watched a testimony called, “Men of Character” at halftime.  It was a great night of fellowship.

If you haven’t seen the facility over the last couple weeks, a lot has changed!  We have been given an abundance of furniture and  people have been hard at work painting and setting up the Thrift Store.  Come by and check it out!

This coming Monday, the 13th.  We will open for our regular hours: 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Monday through Thursday) and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. (Friday and Saturday).  Please continue to pray for God’s blessing as we reach out to the community with His love.  There are many opportunities to serve!  Check out the rest of the site for more info our email us at commongroundci@gmail.com!
