Common Ground has been host to the Delavan Biggest Losers competition for the last several weeks. As participants are winding down, many are seeing positive results from their efforts. Weekly meetings and weigh-ins, plus plenty of encouragement and accountability have been keys to the program’s success.
Individuals has used a myriad of tools to help develop healthier habits. Some are using fitness apps for their smartphones, such as; FitBit and My Fitness Pal. Both apps track activity, as well as calories. Others are using workout DVDs or YouTube for fitness videos. Still others utilize the Delavan Fitness Center, which is open Mon. – Fri. mornings from 5:30am – 7:00am, and evenings from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. Many have been walking, running, or biking since the weather has gotten warmer.
Common Ground is excited to support people making healthy lifestyle changes and wishes everyone in the community a healthy and happy summer. Let all commit to being more active and taking care of the body God gave us. It’s the only one we’ll get.
